Designed by a Congregational Sub-Committee & built by George Wright in 1865 using day labour. It is of Victorian Carpenter Gothic style utilising weatherboards & a metal deck roof.
Presbyterianism in Moruya is credited to Rev Patrick Fitzgerald the first Minister of the Charge who conducted services in the old Court House in Vulcan Street from February 1862, and who began organising Prebyterians in the community into a Parish. An amount of £150 was raised & a "temporary" church building erected which, apart from an extension, continues to this day.
