Outside the entrance to the Phitsanulok City train station is a courtyard, that is flanked by two, dated, long buildings. One is a hotel, the other houses a variety of shops.
This building is the northerly of the two, the building with the shops, and carries the dedicatory year of 2503 in the Buddhist calendar, plus a name. The name, so I am informed is 'pan-a-chet'—as transliterated by myself. This is a man's name, presumably the original owner. Interestingly, this date is given in Hindu numerals, not the curvaceous Thai digits, as are usually used (at least in my experience of buildings of this vintage) for such purposes. This date corresponds to 1960 of the Common Era.
Year of construction: 2503
Full inscription: 'pan-a-chet'
2503
