I was unable to find much information regarding the bell tower however it was refurbished & repainted in 1982. It is rung manually with a long rod required to reach the loop at the end of the rope hanging from the bell mechanism.
Construction of the present church began in 1890 to a design by Arthur Blackett, son of the well-known colonial architect Edmund Blackett. Building was completed in April 1891 and the church was opened free of debt. Regular maintenance sees the church in good order.
