Title of Aeolus was found by researching on the artists website, located This Kinetic piece by Louisiana native artist Lin Emery is a large piece. I have Waymarked other pieces by this artist, all have been kinetic, and all have been made of this highly polished aluminum. This is the tallest at least 10 feet tall. On the west side of the State Library building, facing Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge. The piece was in great condition, moving gently in the breezes.
From the Smithsonian website about this piece it states:
A sculpture of seven abstract bird forms that decrease in size from the base to the top. The pieces are joined by bearings allowing them to move. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular base.
