Phitsanulok is a sizeable city and capital of the central Thai province of the same name. Located on the eastern side of the city, off the main highway, down a side street, is the provincial bus station. From here inter-provincial buses head south to Bangkok, north to Laos, some west to Myanmar, and others to the neighbouring provinces. As well smaller buses journey to the towns and villages within the province. It is a busy station.
In design, entirely standard. A long, rectangular, covered waiting area. At one end ticket counters, the other shops and toilets. Around the station are many small shops offering a full variety of goods and services. At the front of the station are parked and waiting the tuk tuk and 'motor bike taxi drivers', ready to convey you around the town. Eighteen bus bays in the station, with space around for more.
There is a sign in front of the station, but it seems to be covered temporally by a cardboard sign, however there is a sign on the main road (in gallery).
