"CASA DOS COUTOS
Construção mandada reedificar pelo arcebispo de braga, Dom José De Bragança para sua residencia tendo permanecido o prelado em Guimarães, de 10de dezembro de 1746 a 1749.
Passou a ser conhecido como "Palácio da 96 janelas e 77 portas.
Em 1855 é instalado nesta casa um hospital para clérigos, que funcionou até Novembro do mesmo ano.
Posteriormente o imóvel foi vendido á familia dos Coutos tendo ficado conhecida desde então pela "Casa dos Coutos"

"HOUSE OF THE COUTOS
The construction build was ordered by the Archbishop of Braga, Don Jose De Bragança for his residence and he lived in Guimarães, from December 10 1746 to 1749.
He became known as "Palace of 96 windows and 77 doors.
In 1855 is installed in this house a hospital for clergy, which ran until November of that year.
Later the building was sold to the family of the Coutos have been known since as the "House of the hunting grounds"
