A Lewis and Clark marker and wood carvings to commemorate the Corps of Discovery. The location is near the wanderings of Private George Shannon. The marker discusses an evening pass to celebrate with the citizens of St. Charles and the subsequent discipline for some members being AWOL for a night and receiving lashes.
"Must Sees"at this location":
The wood carvings are a unique feature of the immediate area. A mile to the South is a viking ship facade that is photo ready.
