Located in Government Springs Park, is a rough hewn granite boulder dedicated in 1921 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The DAR seal is shown, consisting of a wagon wheel with the words "DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" around the wheel. There are 13 spokes in the wheel, and 13 stars encircling the wheel, representative of the original 13 colonies.
Engraved on this monument are words commemorating this location as a popular stopping place for the cattle drives that came from south Texas, following the Chisholm Trail through the Enid area, and on to the railroad stockyards in Abilene, Kansas.
