Empírový zámecek, též zvaný Dianinin chrám se
nachází asi 3km SV od Valtic. Rendez-vous je soucástí výjimecného
Lednicko-Valtického areálu.

Chrám nechal postavit v roce 1812 Jan I. z
Lichtenštejna. Tvurcem návrhu zámecku byl Josef Hardmuth a architektem Josef
Kornhäuse.

Stavba má podobu vítezného oblouku a panstvo se zde
scházelo z duvodu úcasti na honech. Zámecek se nachází v bývalé obore.

Zámecek je venován bohyni lovu, Diane. Výzdobu
tvorí reliéfy znázornující dramatické scény z lovu.

Po 2. svetové válce byla stavba znárodnena a stala
se majetkem státní památkové péce v Brne.

V roce 1995 byly zahájeny restaurátorské práce a v
kvetnu 2001 byl zámecek zprístupnen verejnosti.

Roku 1996 bylo na Seznam svetového prírodního
a kulturního dedictví UNESCO zapsáno výjimecné prírodní a
kulturne-historické území mikroregionu Lednicko-valtického areálu (LVA).

Tato oblast na pomezí Moravy a Dolního
Rakouska byla v prubehu 18. a 19. století knížecím rodem
Lichtenštejnu zformována do podoby prírodního parku.

Valtice,
Lednice a
Hlohovec jsou významnými krajinotvornými celky umele vysázený
Borí
les a
Lednické rybníky.

Areál zahrnuje také cást lužního lesa pri
rece Dyji jižne od Breclavi. Nachází se zde také Aquadukt a má pripomínat
torzo zavlažovacího zámeckého systému. V této krajine, kolem hlavních
zámku v
Lednici a ve
Valticích
jsou roztroušeny drobné stavby, tzv. salety - Kolonáda na
Reistne, Belvedér, Dianin chrám, Kaple sv. Huberta, Hranicní zámecek, Tri
Grácie, Rybnicní zámecek, Nový dvur, Apollónuv chrám, Lovecký, zámecek,
Januv hrad, Minaret, Obelisk, Pohansko, Zámecek Lány.

Od roku 2003 je Lednice a její okolí soucástí
biosférické rezervace Dolní Morava.

The temple was built in 1812 by architect Josef

were organized hunts for
gentry.

Mansion is
dedicated to hunting goddess
Diana. The decoration

the property of State conservation of Brno.

The Lednice-Valtice Area is registered in the
list of monuments protected as World Heritage by
UNESCO
(1996).

At the end of the 18th century, the local
manor lordship - the
House of Liechtenstein - began to create a unique manmade landscape
complex - The
Lednice
- Valtice
Area.

During the 19th century, the Liechtenstein
family continued transforming the area, which has since been called the "Garden
of Europe", into a large
landscape park with two centres Valtice Castle and Lednice Castle.

There are a lot of bigger or smaller
pavilions scattered throughout the whole complex, often serving as
hunting lodges- Rajsna, Belvedere, Rendezvous, St Hubert Chapel,
Border House, Temple of the Three Graces, Pond House, Nový dvur, Apollo
Temple, Hunting Lodge, John's Castle, Minaret, Obelisk, Pohansko, Lány.
