On the Mount of Pina, near the place of Barro there is a Tholos, discovered in 1909 by Jesuit priest Paul Bovier Lapierre.
It consists of a circular chamber with 6m of diameter, covered internally by stone blocks stacked to form a false dome and a corridor leading to 4m long. This core is surrounded by an outer circle of stones with diameter of 13m. The intermediate space was filled with little stones, that lined the coverage of the chamber and the corridor forming the mamoa.
Through research carried out, it was deduced that the village would be located on the east side.
The remains found seems to assign it to an initial phase of the Chalcolithic period. Were found along two axes of polished stone, four rings of bronze, four-cylinder of white limestone (two of them representing human figures), teeth and bones of wild boar and other large animals, 25 stone beads, a slate plate with two holes, and shards of pottery vessels and late bronze Age.
The remains found lies in the Museum of Torres Vedras.
