This large piece is entitled "South of the River" and is dated 1976. The artist is Bernard Schottlander (b. Mainz, Germany, 1924-1999). The plaque indicates that it was cast by British Steel...so, presumably that is what the work is made from as well. It was placed here in front of Becket House in 1976.
