Although you will not likely see a live bear in town, it is not usual to see a real black bear while you are driving around the Parry Sound District. The Dunchurch dump attracts black bears in July and August. There are several YouTube videos featuring the Dunchurch bears, particularly the albino black bear, nicknamed Cinnamon bear by the locals.
