Apparently this is not the actual 1,000,000th Pullman Standard freight car producd at the Bessemer plant, it just commemorates the 1,000,00th car. The Bessemer Hall Of History across the street, housed in the former Bessemer AGS/SRR Station, has a large collection of artifiacts and documents from the Bessemer Pullman Plant. The boxcar is on the museum's property and houses a local model RR club.
