Anaconda is one of the best one-stop-shops for outdoor and adventure equipment, and claims to be Australia’s largest camping and adventure superstore. Anaconda doesn't directly compete with Rays Outdoors and BCF, as many of the Anaconda customers are the high end adventure enthusiasts.
Anaconda offers a very large range of outdoor products, within an environment where visitors can take part in great activities and get the best local advice for their adventures. In-store experiences include climbing pinnacles, kayak testing pools and bike workshops. They also offer rentals for a try-before-you-buy experience.
Many of the staff at Anaconda are experts in camping, hiking, fishing, four-wheel-driving, cycling, kayaking, snorkelling, diving and rock climbing.
I've never shopped at this store, but I have a very nice 21 LED head lamp, an essential night Geocaching tool, which I purchased from Anaconda at a very competitive price.
