Getaway Outdoors stores carry an extensive range of camping, watersports and fishing equipment.
The Getaway Outdoors chain evolved from the Ranger Camping chain late in 2010, about the same time that this store opened in a new retail development a little East of the main shopping precinct in Kelmscott. To promote the new name the chain offered a one-off substantial discount for anyone who signed up for a Getaway Card at the 4WD and Adventure Show held in November 2010.
While at that show I signed up for the Getaway Card, and I also heard from the Magellan representative at the show that the long-awaited car mount and bicycle mount for the Magellan Explorist GC gpsr had just become available. A couple of days after the show I rang this store and asked about the availability of the two mounts, and whether the discount on my Getaway Card would be applied to the Recommended Retail Price. The manager confirmed this, so I placed my order, and a couple of days later got a phone call to say they had arrived. The Getaway Card had saved me over $40, not to be sneezed at.
This store provides a gas cylinder re-filling service as well as selling new gas cylinders.
At present this store is my chosen supplier of LP Gas refills, as they have the best price and excellent fast service.
