This station, a U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey standard bench mark disk, is located in New Boston, NH. It is set in an exposed rock outcrop near the junction of Chestnut Hill Road and Bedford Road, just southeast of the T-intersection. The NHDOT datasheet description is as follows:
THE STATION IS LOCATED IN NEW BOSTON.TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE BEDFORD/NEW BOSTON TOWN LINE, GO WEST FOR 0.4 MI ON NEW BOSTON ROAD. ALSO, TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE AMHERST/NEW BOSTON TOWN LINE, GO NORTH FOR 1.0 MI ON CHESTNUT HILL ROAD.THE STATION IS A STANDARD USCGS AND STATE SURVEY DISK STAMPED--G 14 RESET 1960--, SET IN LEDGE 3 FT ABOVE THE ROAD. LOCATED 134 FT SOUTH FROM A JUNCTION, 51.0 FT EAST FROM THE CENTER OF THE ROAD, 20.0 FT SOUTH FROM A 6.6-FT CIRCUMFERENCE PINE, 19.0 FT WEST FROM A 5.5-FT CIRCUMFERENCE PINE.
This station replaces MY0789, which was destroyed in 1960. It does not have a PID assigned to it at this time. The disk used here is a tidal bench mark disk, which is kind of unusual for this particular area. The full NHDOT datasheet can be accessed at the link below.
