The Ye Olde Watering Hole is a popular bar on 287 Pleasant Street, Route 5, in the City of Northampton in the Five College area of the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts. The establishment is popular with the younger crowd and features pub atmosphere featuring darts, pool, sports on HD TV, music, free Wi-Fi and the Beer Can Museum.

The walls of the bar are lined with shelves containing over 4000 different beer cans. The history of the museum has a legend. In 1942 five friends gathered before separating to serve in World War II. Each of placed a full can of beer on the wall and promised to reunite and celebrate with those cans upon their return from the war. Two did not return and their full beer cans were left on the wall in their memory. The returning friends then added their three empty cans.

In 1972, owner Al Drew, added his beer cans collection to the five on the wall. The collection grew under subsequent owners. In 2007, an inventory was taken and the cans were organized alphabetically. There were 4010 different beer cans, manufactured from 1936-1960, on display.
