The name of the Museum is a little confusing, I was expecting a Maratime Museum, but in fact it is based on the Welsh Coal & Iron Heavy Industry over the past 300 years, & some modern innovations.
Apparently it is called the Waterfront Museum because it is alongside the South Dock Quay in the Maratime Quarter.

Entry to the Museum is Free, as are all Museums in Wales.

"Wales' £33.5m National Waterfront Museum in Swansea opened in November 2005. Described as a "museum for people who don't do museums", it's set to be one Wales' major attractions. Using real-life artefacts, archive footage, photographs, 2-D graphic panels, interactive displays and more, the museum covers almost every imaginable aspect of Wales' industrial and social history. Take a look inside..."
