Built in 1960, the Shannon Station is part of the Santa Clara County Fire Department. This station was remodeled in 1997. Although it has what looks like a training tower next to it, it is no longer used for that purpose because of the closeness of the houses to the station. Hose maintanence and repair for the department is done at this station.
