In Randolph, along Mass. Route 28, is Allcaneat Foods, Ltd. This bakery and cafe specializes in non-allergic foods that taste good.
The bakery web site has the following about itself:
"It is our mission to produce fresh, healthy, great tasting
gluten-free and allergenic-free baked goods. Our production facility is 100% dedicated free of gluten, wheat, peanuts, soy and sesame. We especially want people who are burdened by dietary restrictions to be able to take pleasure in food again – to savor fresh breads, pizza and prepared foods and to relish decadent baked goods and cakes that rival traditional items. You’ll find our products are every bit as delicious – if not better tasting – than traditional products."
Several things were tried at this place. Rugalas (three flavors - I preferred the raspberry), pumpkin moon pie (well recommended), cinnamon rolls (not recommended) black and white cookies (recommended), and frozen pizza (not bad - will have to experiment further on how to better crisp the crust). There were also cup cakes and many different kinds of cookies.
You can sit down at a table in the cafe area, or take it with you. You can also order online gluten-free bread, blueberry cake or brownies and have the food shipped to your home!
The owner of the place claims that he has quite a following - people come literally hundreds of miles to come buy their products. Will you??
