This 1959 bronze piece by Henry Moore (1898-1986) is entitled "Two Piece Reclining Figure No.1" The work is actually in two pieces and does resemble a reclining figure from one vantage point but from others...just two blobs. This piece is very representative of Henry Moore's work. The English artist is known for his monumental works. Many of his pieces, although, abstract, are based, liked this, on the human form.
