Each year, around the time of the Chinese New Year, The Birmingham Chinese have their festival at the historic Boutwell Auditorium.

It may surprise some but Birmingham has a sizable Asian community. The festival has many booths and tables occupied by local Chinese businesses schools and churches. The stage has Chinese dancers, yo-yo artists, and acrobats. Unfortunately, they haven't figured out that food thing so you may want to eat something before you go.
