První písemná zmínka o zdejším pivovaru je z roku 1550. Za tricetileté války byl pivovar, stejne jako celé mestecko, vypálen Švédy. Areál byl obnoven v barokním slohu v roce 1653. V roce 1819 pivovar vyhorel, ale ješte téhož roku byl obnoven tehdejším majitelem panství Hieronymem Lützowem. V roce 1849 ponicila pivovar velká povoden. Výroba ukoncena byla okolo roku 1932. V roce 1990 byl objekt bývalého pivovaru predán vnuku posledního soukromého majitele Jaromíra Pospíšila.

The first written evidence of the local brewery is from 1550. During the Thirty Years War was a brewery, as well as the whole town burnt by the Swedes. The complex was restored in Baroque style in the 1653. In 1819 the building was destoyed by fire, but the same year was re-established by the fowner of the estate, Hieronymus Lutzow. In 1849 a great flood destroyed the brewery again. Production was discontinued around 1932. In 1990 the building of a former brewery was passed to grandson of the last private owner, Jaromir Pospisil.
