Ferry Landing - Port Robinson, Ontario - Ferries and Ferry Landings on Waymarking.com

The Port Robinson Ferry operates from April 1st to approximately Christmas. It is a passenger only ferry but has been known to carry bicycles as well (one day it carried 150). People use the ferry primarily to cross the Welland Canal for a quicker route to work or school.

The best part is... IT'S FREE !! And it leads to almost half a dozen other Waymarks in Port Robinson

Originally there was Bridge 12 that spanned the Welland Canal, until it was struck by a ship "The Steelton" on the 25th of August, 1974. For more info please read Port Robinson - Bridge 12

I have ridden this Ferry to cross the Canal in order to create the Waymarks on the Eastern side of the Canal, in the quaint hamlet of Port Robinson. The Ferry operator is very friendly and competant. This is probably the best way to start of a half hour of Waymarking in the area.
