An all weather, public gravel road winds through farmland before climbing Mt Flakney. If you stick to the main track you shouldn't mistakenly enter private property. Leave all gates as you find them. The road leads to communication towers & an outstanding Trig.
The Trig Pole is surrounded by a circular formation of carefully laid local rock & is the work of craftsmen. The view extends for miles & the locals have placed old chairs above the road so they can enjoy the view in comfort.
A conventional vehicle will get you to the trig without trouble.
