Sadly, the nomination from is not available for this NRHP listing. There are some resources, such as this vintage advertisement (
visit link) proudly touting its cost ($2,750,000), its organ (a specially designed Hook and Hastings) and the architect of the building (Gordon & Kaeber and Carl R. Traver).
This last provides some insight on the reason for its nomination as a historical place. Kaeber, individually and as a principal at firms such as Gordon & Kaeber, was responsible for much of the work inside the Inner Loop Multiple Resource area (Downtown Rochester) including the English Evangelical Church (
visit link) the German United Evangelical Church (
visit link) Rundell Library (
visit link) and the Reynolds Arcade (not yet waymarked), and at least one NRHP listing outside the Inner Loop: St Marks and St John's Episcopal Church. In the case of the Temple Building, he applied Late Gothic Revival and Chicago style.
