Located on the exit of Calçada de Carriche, a small square, near the road leading to Odivelas, is the Padrão do Senhor Roubado, a monument dated of 1744.

Its construction was due to a robbery carried out in the church of Odivelas in 1671, allegedly by the young António Ferreira, who then stole from the altars of the church, the rosary beads of N. Lady of the Rosary, the garments of the Child Jesus and of Our Lady of Egypt, the sacred vessels, among others, hiding them in a woodland, where it is today the Padrão do Senhor Roubado.
In a time of extreme religiosity, the size of this case was such that when the news arrived in the capital, Queen D. Luísa de Gusmão (wife of King D. João IV, and regent of the kingdom at that time) sent letters to all the kingdom, and promising edicts were posted rewarding money and a job in court or on the farm, to who denounce the perpetrator.
After finding the objects, and confessed the sacrilegious robbery by António Ferreira, was judged and convicted in Lisbon, to be "dragged and taken to the Rossio square of this city, where you will cut off both hands and burned in his sight, and then your body will burn ...".
