Trinity Church at Ostankino - a monument to old Russian religious architecture, is a remarkable building of the end of the 17th century.
Since the 16th century the church has been suffering consecutive changes and upgrades. The first building was made of wood, and only in 1677 started the stone construction. From the original carved iconostasis in the style of Naryshkin baroque only the lower part of the royal doors are perserved.
The building is one of the best and most famous monuments of Russian architecture of the second half of XVII century. Its general construction is traditionally for its time: two tiers of windows, raised on a high basement, with two tiers of windows at the height of the side-chapels along the sides, three-way ambulatory, external staircase and bell tower axis.
The church is currently part of the Russian Federation Cultural heritage.
