On the northeast side of the zoo, the Samuel T. Moore Aviary is located north of the Children's Zoo. The Sam Moore Bird Gardens are located outside four large outdoor cages where birds fly and live in natural habitats.
A bronze plaque mounted to a wooden fence around the aviary reads:
