This is a combined immigration and train station facility for the nation of Singapore. The station is the terminus of the sole Malaysian train line into Sing. As Singaporean immigration has a strict no photography policy, and as there are lots of signs warning that you might be shot for unspecified reasons, I took only two photographs from the vicinity of the taxi stand, which is way outside the facility.

The station is large, with lots of guards, barbed wire, and many signs. There are separate areas for inbound and outbound travellers. One disembarks, proceeds through immigration, and then exits the station via one flight of steps (or an elevator) to a bus stop and taxi stand. There is a nearby underground train station. Just about zero tourist information present. I would venture to say, the least friendly immigration setup I have seen in south east Asia.

This station is new, it became operational, so I am told in mid 2011, and is a marked break with the past. For decades Malaysian trains stopped at an art-deco, colonial era station near the city centre, and for decades the Sing government has discussed creating a new station and checkpoint. They finally did so.

To enter the station I am fairly certain that one must have a ticket and passport—no casual visits. No sign of food or drink. Waymark made near the bus/taxi stand.
