To the north of the Brunel Museum, in Rotherhithe, is a
small paved seating area that has some bench seats that are different to the
norm. This seat is fashioned after the Royal Albert Bridge that spans the River
Tamar in south west England.
"Royal Albert Bridge
An almost unique bridge. It is a self-contained suspension bridge that requires
no anchor chains to stop the main towers collapsing on each other. Instead the
large tube at high level between the towers keeps them apart so providing its
structural integrity."
