Redwoods are not typical in this valley, which exceeds 100* during the summer months. They do grow. This grove is over 50 trees of varied size and all over 40-50 feet tall.

Most unusual is the constructionn around the existing trees.
This is a large municipal work site and it provides a shady spot for employees to enjoy breaks or lunch. Native fern and a flag stone walk wind through the grove. The customer service counter was relocated to this building. Because it is a public utility, it is open days 8 - 5. There is building security.
The largest sequoia is approx. 80 inches / 180 cm.
