What is the capacity of the facility?: 44 000 m3/day average (maximum = 75 000 m3/day)

Describe the biological treatment technology used.:
First step is Screening (to 12mm) Then they add some alun to transform soluble particles into decantables particles. They remove sandy particles. The lighter particles are treated with polymers to form solid particles (floc).Those solid particles are deposited by gravity and removed by pumps. The remaining water is then treated by UV before it is returned to the Rivière-des-Mille-Iles.

How are biosolids (sludge) managed?: 350 tons of biosolids are sent every month to the drying and granulation station of La Pinière.

What technology is used for disinfection prior to dicharge of treated water?: Ultra-Violet treatment : 112 lamps of 2 800 watts each

Who is the owner/operator fo the facility?: City of Laval

How is the facility governed?: The owner is the municipality so the municipal council is the governing body.
