The Moffat Library was a gift of David Moffat who lived from 1839 - 1911. Moffat was a Financier and Railroad Magnate. The library was built 1886-87 on the home site of his grandfather, Samuel Moffat, who himself was a village founder. The library's stained glass windows are by Tiffany.
