Long Description:
This Veterans Memorial stand in the Iredell Memorial Park near Barium Springs, North Carolina. This simple round monument is made of native stone and topped with an eagle. Imbeded in the monument is a plaque that is dedicated to all veterans. The memorial stands in an area of the cemetery where a number of veterans are resting, including veterans of World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. This memorial stands as a memorial to those who fought to ensure that we continue to live in the land of the Free.

A NATION that honors its veterans is a nation dedicated to the preservation of freedom won by sacrifice of life itself. These emblems are appropriately dedicated to the valiant dead of the Armed Forces who ventured far, fought bravely and gave their lives to preserve freedom and liberty in our land together they lie here in mute testimony to the manner in which they lived, worked and fought to achieve the victories in order that America may live.

This memorial is surround by the grave of Veterans from World Wars I & II, Korea, Vietnam and The Persian Gulf. The area is beautifully landscaped making it a fitting resting place for our heroic veterans.
