Merrygill Viaduct carried the Stainmore railway across the ravine of Hartley Beck, in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. The viaduct is now in the care of the Northern Viaduct Trust who allow access for all.

The nine arches are made from local limestone. Originally a single track the viaduct was widened to double track by 1892. Each arch spans 30 feet, with a total length 366 feet, and a height above the beck of 78 feet. The railway was a solution to the problem of getting the Durham coke to the iron ore of Furness. The line ran for 100 years. (visit link)
