There is positively, absolutely no meaningful information available on this man, aside what is on the monument. I know there is a scholarship named after him as well as this park. I know he likes golf because of the golf weathervane on top of the gazebo and the golf tournament so named in his honor. The Henry J. Dunn, III Scholarship Tournament Raised Over $7,800 for Council #10 Scholarship Fund on 9/22/11. Safe to say, he was an important man to his community.
The monument is next to the gazebo. It almost looks like a gravestone but it is roughly cut at the top, with a polished face and a plaque attached thereto. There is a picture of Dunn with the following inscription:
This park is dedicated in honor of
Henry J. Dunn III,
President of Camden County Council #10
In recognition of
his leadership in labor management cooperation.
His humor, enthusiasm, compassion
fairness, and vision
were an inspiration to all
