"La Cruz de Ferro (Cruz de Hierro en castillan, Cruz de Fierro en léonais) est un calvaire monumental implanté sur le Camino francés du Pèlerinage de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, dans les Monts de León.
Elle est située à 1504m d'altitude, au col de Foncebadón près du carrefour entre la route LE-142 et le chemin qui mène à Prada de la Sierra. Elle se trouve donc sur le Camino francés, entre les localités de Foncebadón et de Manjarín, appartenant toutes deux au municipio de Santa Colomba de Somoza, dans la province de León, communauté autonome de Castille-et-León, au nord-ouest de l'Espagne.
La Cruz de Ferro est constituée d'un poteau de bois de cinq mètres de haut environ, couronné par une croix monumentale en fer, réplique de la croix originale conservée au Palais épiscopal d'Astorga
Dans les années 2000, le monument a subi de nombreuses dégradations ; la croix a même été dérobée. À sa base, avec les années, s'est formé un monticule de terre et de cailloux, amené en partie par les pèlerins." wikipedia

"The Ferro Cruz (Cruz de Hierro in Castilian, Cruz de Fierro in Leone) is a monumental Calvary located on the Camino frances Pilgrimage of St Jacques de Compostela, in the Montes de León.
It is located at 4934 feet altitude in the neck near the junction between Foncebadón road LE-142 and the road to the Sierra Prada. It is therefore on the Camino frances, between the towns of Foncebadón and Manjarin, both belonging to the municipio of Santa Colomba de Somoza, in the province of León, Castile and León, northwest of Spain.
La Cruz de Ferro consists of a wooden pole approximately 16 feet high, crowned by a monumental cross iron cross replica of the original kept at the Episcopal Palace of Astorga2
In the 2000s, the monument has suffered many degradations, the cross was even stolen. At its base, over the years, has formed a mound of earth and stones, led in part by the pilgrims." wikipedia
