This is my all-time favorite bakery in Rochester. (Someone else will have to waymark my second favorite - Savoia's!) 745 Park Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607

Bill, the owner, known to us all affectionately as "Bill the Baker", once worked in the bakery department at Wegman's grocery stores. Danny Wegman, the owner, became notorious for his pursuit of artisan breads and pastries. This passionate pursuit was not lost on Bill. He is prospering on his wholesaile business to the best Rochester restaurants. I had a sandwich downtown today, made on his panera bread.
His pastries and individual baked goods are out of this world. Try a turnover, a pull-apart sticky bun, a loaf of chocolate Bobka, or the cheddar jalapeno bread... heck try everything in the store... but that will take many visits. Become a regular like me!
