Dover the Final Insult #22 Sign/Marker, John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail 1863 in Indiana: "On July 13, 1863, Morgan's Raiders looted a tavern in this community." Although the James Murtaugh the Irish born proprietor protested, it did not stop Morgan's men. The tavern was also an Inn amd had dance hall on the second floor; the building still exists and is the second structure on the east side of SR1 just north of the intersection of North Dearborn Road and SR. Morgan's Raiders continued to plunder in this area. Less than half a mile south of this location is the Huber-Briggs Cemetery where two horses were stolen from a hearse being used at the funeral of a young man named Glardon. Finally, Morgan's men were seen "with long bolts of stolen cloth unfurled from behind their saddles as they rode out of town."
