Truck Shown is Task Force E-7, S & R. Some organized in March 1872.
The City of Sacramento Urban Search and Rescue is Unit 7 of 28 in the nation who participate in national emergencies. Since 1992.
In 1995 they sent a team to Oklahoma City. In 2001, to NYC.
In Aug. 2005, support for Hurricane Katrina at New Orleans with a team of 14 from Swift Water Response Team and 45 others. There are 210 specially trained members including volunteers from Dive and Rescue Team. A type 1 disaster may involve from 70- 80 members.
Type II, 28 - 34. They have conducted MobEx training using Cerrtified Emergency Response Team and volunteer victims.
