This is the general site in Palmyra where John Hunt Morgan camped on July 9, 1863, the Second Night in Indiana, after leaving Corydon, Indiana. It is the #5 sign/marker of the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail 1863. It is also some 24 miles north of the first night's campsite at Fikes' Mill.
