Long Description:
Austinmer is a northern suburb of Wollongong on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. It sits in the northern Illawarra region, south of Stanwell Park and immediately north of Thirroul.

The area was originally called Sidmouth, but by the 1860s was called Bulli North. The name changed to Austinmere (later dropping the final "e", but still pronounced "ere") with the opening of the North Illawarra Coal Company's mine around 1887

This building at 34 Moore st, built in 1919 now houses a bridal shop and a yoga centre

I found this by accident while i was searching for a nearby geocache at the scout hall. This street was once a thriving centre of the town but has declined to a quite back street with the majority of traffic and shops now on the Lawrence Hargrave Drive opposite the beach.
