Mariana da Sousa Guerra, nobre portuguesa foi donataria da capitania de São Vicente por herança de seu pai entre 1621 e 1624. Foi a Condessa de Vimieiro quem deu ordens a Jordão Homem da Costa para que fundasse Ubatuba. Graças a sua simpatia e inteligência, conquistou a interna amizade e o grande reconhecimento do povo da Ubatuba.".
