Woman´s Torso is a work by the Portuguese Artist Dorita de Castel-Branco.
The work was made in rose granite and is a diferent aproach to the female body than the traditional figurative aproach of the time. It was conceived together with it´s neighbour "Man´s Torso" and placed in this rectangular garden in Restelo, Lisboa.
Doritade Castel-Branco (1936-1996)was a Portuguese artist. She had a degree in sculpture by the former Lisbon Fine Arts School (today part of Lisbon´s University). Between 1963 and 1965 she studied in Paris at the École Supérieire des Beaux-Arts and at the Académie du Feu.
