Eskimo Joe's bar and restaurant is located at 501 W. Elm. Established in July of 1975 as a beer bar, it morphed into a bar and full service restaurant in 1984. In 1985, EJ's celebrated their 10th anniversary with a big outdoor bash in July. By the 1990s, it now attracts up to 65,000 people.
The world-famous business logo consists of Eskimo Joe himself - the face surrounded by a fur-lined Nordic hood, with a wide, toothy grin. Alongside Joe is his husky "Buffy" with a similar grin and his long tongue hanging out. This logo can be found on T-shirts, sweatshirts and clothing for men, women and children, as well as other merchandise.
There are several bars on the premises, and the restaurant serves everything from burgers and hotdogs, salads, chicken to a full steak dinner. They are open Mon-Sat 11am-2am and Sun from 11am-9pm. The kitchen closes at 10pm.
There are two web cameras on location. Camera No. 2 is located over the front entrance and faces a dining area, with a bar shown at the rear.
