Stunning memorial to Women and War located in Veteran's Park in downtown Long Prairie. The memorial is dedicated to Dorothy Klick from her children and features a large sized mural, bronze marker and detailed informational signs.

The memorial sits next to many veteran's memorials, a five story mural and sculpture to Iwo Jima, a Sherman tank, Vietnam era helicopter and memorial, Korean war memorial, mini Statue of Liberty, replica bandshell and more. Lots of benches to sit and take in all that the veteran's have done for us.

The Women in War memorial is especially touching, the role of women is often overlooked. Dorothy was a World War II veteran and this is a great tribute to a mother, soldier, veteran and woman. Learn more at:
