Small Baroque Hospital Chapel of the Holy Cross (Špitální kaple Svatého kríže) in historic centre of town Tábor serves nowadays as Orthodox church.

This small church was originally dedicated to St. Elisabeth. With the adjoining house N°285, the former hospital, it creates one unit which is located in the place of the medieval pre-Hussite burial site. The oldest written mention of the hospital dates back to the years 1443-1444. The chapel itself was built at the beginning of the 18th century in the late Baroque style. In the year 1946 the chapel was reconstructed and given to the Orthodox Church...
