The sculpture of the 41rst president sits just beyond security in Terminal C.
Bush was the 41st president and 43 vice president of the United States. He also surved in the Congress from the Houston area.
The plaque at the base of the sculpture reads: "David Adickes 'Winds of Change' 1990 President George H W Bush. Eight Foot Bronze. Donated to the city of Houston by the daughters of Quinita and Christ LaPorte; Brittany, Jessica and Kimberly. In honor of their grandparents Katleen and Joe LaPorte Jr."
The sculpture is of a younger Bush with a fluttering jacket over his shoulder. He hold the book :Winds of Change" behind his back.
