ENG: Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is generally identified with Thaddeus, and is also variously called Jude of James, Jude Thaddaeus, Judas Thaddaeus or Lebbaeus. He is sometimes identified with Jude, "brother of Jesus", but is clearly distinguished from Judas Iscariot, another disciple, the betrayer of Jesus.
In traditional views has in hand a club or hatchet (halberd). Also, he is placed in the hands of the head plate with the image of Christ, which according to legend, brought by the king of Edessa.
